At CAP Academy, the well-being of our scholars and their families is always our main priority. Listed below are our enhanced procedures to reduce transmission and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

  • All students and instructors will be subject to a temperature screening upon entering the facility.

  • Face masks/coverings will be required at all times while in the building.

  • For any students exhibiting any of the following symptoms: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea,
we will be asking parents/guardians to take them home. If your child has symptoms, please wait until they've subsided before coming back to the center.

  • To ensure Social Distancing, all students will be spaced a minimum of 4 feet apart from one another.

  • In the interest of reducing the number of extra people in the facility, parents and guardians will be asked to wait outside of the front door to drop-off and pick-up their child(ren).

  • All students will be asked to wash/sanitize their hands upon entering and leaving the facility.

  • Students will be asked to wash/sanitize their hands upon entering and leaving the facility.

  • Instructors will be asked to wash/sanitize upon arrival and every hour.

  • Pencils. We are sanitizing pencils, tables and chairs daily. However, your child may want to bring and use their personal pencil/pen/eraser. Students will be given a pencil to keep in their binder.

  • All school supplies, books, tables, and chairs will be sanitized after each group of students. Students are still encouraged to bring their own supplies, if possible.

  • Bathrooms and kitchen will be sanitized every other hour.

  • Student use of CAP Academy’s library area will be prohibited until further notice.

We will be following the CDC's guidance (https://www.cdc.gov/media/index.html) and will be monitoring the actions of schools in our area to make decisions on a daily basis that are right for our community.

We will continue to provide you with regular updates through emails and posts to our Facebook and Instagram as this situation evolves. Please reach out to us at any time if you have any questions or concerns that we can address.
